Relationships without trust—where can they go? When we enter into contact with another person, we need to trust him or her, at least to a certain degree. In times of war, we need to trust that we will not be killed by the other, in intimate relationships we need to trust that we won’t be hurt. And when we lose trust in the other, our relationship is impacted and can only grow and thrive when it is possible to recover and increase the trust between us. This is true for all areas of life, in the “real” and in the “virtual” world. What do we need to DO and how do we need to BE in order to be trustworthy? And how can we perceive that the other person, group, or business is trustworthy?
